A few days in The Lakes

We decided to go to The Lake District for a weeks holiday in the October half term. All started well and we had a lovely time until Wednesday afternoon when my car broke down. Thought it was fixed on Thursday after a visit to a local garage but sadly it broke down again and Friday we returned home to Hampshire on the back of an AA lorry.

The time we spent in The Lakes though was great and enjoyed every bit of it, can't wait to go back but maybe in a different car!!

Wray Castle

Wray Castle

This Castle is owned by the National Trust but it's not like a NT house as there is no furniture in the Castle and all rooms are given over to people having fun.

Lots of large houses etc have snooker tables and usually you are not allowed to touch them but here in Wray Castle you are allowed to enjoyed a game on the full size table.

We were rubbish but I think I won!! Well Lloyd got more points but I potted the last ball!
