Trains, traction engines and tanks

This weeks collection have been taken over the last few months, loco's steaming through our village, traction engines steamimg to the local steam gathering and tanks to ride on.

This was taken on May 23rd as Clan Line steamed through our village on its way from Eastleigh in Hampshire after their Centenary weekend.

In my same position as always when a loco goes steaming through our village.

This is a Mclaren traction engine called "The Favourite".

She was heading towards the Sewards Steam and Vintage Gathering in Liss back in July.

The Aldershot show

This is a Challenger tank which was at the Aldershot Military show held in Aldershot in Hampshire.

This tank belongs to The Aldershot Military Museum.

At the end of the show the tank was driven from the showground to the museum.

We were very lucky to have a ride on the tank back to the museum, it's a long story so I won't bore you but it was fantasic what a way to travel. I only hope that one day I get to do it again...
