Saltburn by the sea

While on holiday in the Northeast we visited this seaside town, we had seen on the local BBC news a picture of the cliff lift so decided to take a drive there and take a ride.

A lovely beach and the cliff lift was great, although it was a very windy day we had great fun playing on the beach with our dog Jess.

This is Saltburn by the sea on the East coast up North. We had decided to visit this seaside town as there is a Cliff Railway there, this is the walk from the town to the cliff railway.

Here we are standing at the top of the cliffs looking over to the beautiful sandy beach, just before we were going to get on the cliff lift.

This is one of the oldest water powered cliff funiculars, it takes you on a trip down the side of the cliff in about a minute..

Although it looks sunny which it was the wind was blowing and the chill in the air was huge but it didn't stop Jess playing in the water.
