Levens Hall and Gardens

We visited this stunning house and gardens back in August while we were on holiday in the Lakes. Levens Hall is located a few miles from Kendal and is well worth a visit.

This wonderful Elizabethan house is a joy to walk round, with lots of information at hand to read and take in. Even our 2 children (15&12) enjoy their visit here. The only disappointment was that they have a couple of steam vehicles housed here sadly one of these vehicles we didn't see at all and the other was in a shed behind glass so not only couldn't we look around her but we couldn't get a nice picture of her either. Saying that, we enjoyed our visit and the gardens are amazing, a wonderful trip around some beautiful english history.

I thought rather than write all the history I would take a picture so you can all read it.

How do they trim these?

We did wonder how they kept them so well trimmed; it must be a full time job but a delight for us the visitor. Jack making good use of the bench for a rest.

Playing in the river

After our lovely visit to Levens Hall it was time for the children and dog to let off some steam so a play around the river seemed to be the way to do it.
