This is a selection of photos that I took back in June.
The first 3 were taken at Amberley Chalk Pits Museum, Amberley, West Sussex, during their Steam Event which they have each year.
The last 4 were taken in Petersfield where we were asked to attend, with Victoria, a new arts and crafts event. A very enjoyable time we had at both.
This is a 1925 Marshall Roller, No 79669 called Joan, Reg No PX2690.
I have very fond memories of this engine from when I was a young girl. A friend of ours used to drive it and my family and I used to go to the local steam rallies every weekend where Joan, or Ruth as she was known then, would be. We would all spend many hours chuffing round and enjoying our time with her.
This is a Burrell traction engine called William the Second, year 1926, No. 4048 Reg No. PW8905.
The nice thing about this event is there are lots of roads to trundle around on, so whatever the weather there is always something driving around the site.
It's a nice event with quite a few engines and the musuem is worth a visit.
